VidBox now includes a FFMpeg interface which will allow users to convert a multitude
of formats both audio and video to mpg, avi, wmv, mp3, wav and wma. You can use this
to easily convert 3gp cell phone video, quicktime and YouTube FLV files to Mpg format..

VidBox has a very User Friendly interface, its large file display makes it easy
to scroll through your favorite media, as an MP3 player it sits perfectly in the
system tray and plays all your music files one after another. Create a play list
if you wish and become your own DJ, play assorted audio, video, shockwave
and graphic files with ease. Its built-in Image viewer can display your photos
quickly and at full screen with simple mouse click scrolling, drag and drop
files onto VidBox for fast playback, or associate file types directly. There are
many things to discover, so If you have large collection of media, VidBox is

With VidBox FFMpeg Encoder you can convert Audio (wav, mp3, wma, .amr etc) to
Wave, Mp3 or Wma. And you can convert Video (mpg, avi, flv, wmv etc) to MPG, AVI or
Wmv. This is excellent for converting YouTube ( FLV ) videos to Mpg, you can select
presets from the drop-down menu or you can choose your own settings both audio and
Video (See Image Above).

FFMpeg is very versatile and will even allow you to convert quicktime files such as Mov
and 3gp Cellphone videos, it has a high quality output and the user friendly interface
VidBox provides makes it simple to use. Simply right click the Video or Audio file you
wish to convert from the main VidBox file list and select "Encode / Convert Format"..
Once the Encoder Window pops up (Pictured Above) select where you want to save your
new file using the "Browse" button, select a preset or use the default setting. By default
all audio encodings will be standard quality stereo, a good setting for most conversions,
but if you require higher settings you can select them easily from the Audio Options.
You can adjust frame rates, video size, bitrates etc from the Video Options but take care
not to set values to low, use the presets provided if you are unsure..

I personally like to use the PAL preset to convert FLV videos to Mpg and then burn them
to a disc so i can watch them full screen on the TV, most modern DVD machines support
the playback of Mpg files from disc or even from a Flash Drive. If you are living in the
States you would select the NTSC preset instead..
